How to use IF function in Excel Tutorial

This is a free Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet Tutorial. In this tutorial, I will show you how to use the IF function in Excel.

The IF function is a conditional function that allows us to perform an operation on a cell-based on and IF statement. For example:

IF “Cell A1” is greater than 0, then Cell A2 = “Yes” or Cell A2 = “No”.

We can also apply conditional formatting in a spreadsheet to colour cells based on the outcome of the IF statement.

IF statements in Excel can return both text and numeric values.
