Blender 3D beginners tutorial – 3D animated logo intro – Part 1

This is a beginner’s tutorial on Blender 3D 2.73 – In this tutorial, we will create a 3D animated logo intro using Blender animation tools.

Blender is a powerful 3-D animation rendering application. Blender can be downloaded for free! Blender may seem like a complicated application to understand once you grasp the fundamentals you will be creating 3-D animation work to enhance your business video marketing promotional material.

In this first tutorial will focus on the fundamentals of Blender and understanding how basic tools can be used to manipulate objects. We will create some basic text objects which will animate to create a final animation intro.

This intro can be used on your website video content or added to your YouTube videos.

Short Cut Keys:

R = Rotate
 Press – X, Y, and Z to isolate the rotation axis

S = Scale
 Press – X, Y, and Z to isolate the scale axis

Middle mouse button to rotate around the selected object

Shift + Middle mouse button to pan around the object 

Shift + C will move the 3D cursor to the middle of the screen

Right-click to reposition the 3D cursor

Shift + A = Add Object 

Tab Key allows you to switch between Object and Edit mode

N = Transform Tool Right Side of the screen

T = Transform Tool Left Side of the screen

F12 = Render

Escape Key = Back to the 3D view
