Why should I import an After Effects project directly into Premiere Pro 2022?
You can export After Effects compositions as a video file with an Alpha channel or a sequence of PNG files, but the content in the export will not be editable in Premiere Pro.
It is better to import the After Effects compositions directly into Premiere Pro, this will allow you to edit the After Effects compositions in real-time and see updates instantly in Premiere Pro.
Can I still edit the After Effect file after importing it into Premiere Pro?
Yes, the AE file is independent of Premiere Pro, you can simply import (link) the AE composition in Premiere Pro and you can still edit the AE file in After Effects.
After editing in After Effects, make sure you save the project so you can see the updates directly in Premiere Pro.
Can I import Affect Effects into Premiere Pro using old versions of the software?
Personally, I have tested importing AE files into Premiere Pro using 2020, 2021 and 2022 versions of After Effects and Premiere Pro.
I would advise that you use the same year versions of the applications for best compatibility e.g. After Effect 2022 to Premiere Pro 2022.
