For example, if you are selling men’s clothes then the main category should be “Men’s” and the subcategories should be “Men’s Shoes”, “Men’s Jeans”, Men’s” Jumpers” and “Men’s Accessories”.
It would make more sense to add your products to the subcategories if you are using them in your WooCommerce store.
Is there a limit to the number of categories I can add to WooCommerce?
In theory, there should be no limit to the number of categories or subcategories you can add to your WooCommerce store, but it is worth planning out your category structure before you start adding them to your website. You can do this in an Excel spreadsheet to a Word document.
