If you want to navigate YouTube quickly then learning a few simple shortcuts can save you time.
I use these shortcuts when I need to move through a video more quickly to find the information I need.
List of popular YouTube shortcuts:
- Toggle play/pause the video: K or Spacebar
- Exit Full-Screen mode: Escape
- Go to the beginning of a video: Home
- Go to the end of a video: End
- Increase volume: Up arrow
- Decrease volume: Down arrow
- Mute/unmute video: M
- Turn captions on/off: C
- Skip ahead/back % of the video: numbers 1-9, 5 middle of the video
- Restart video: 0 (not the keypad number)
- Increase speed: Shift+. (may not work in all browsers) or Shift+. (period)
- Decrease speed: Shift+, (may not work in all browsers) or Shift+, (comma)
- Move forward 1 frame when a video is paused: . (period)
- Move backwards 1 frame when a video is paused: , (comma)
- Move to the next video in a playlist: Shift+N (next)
- Move to the previous video in a playlist: Shift+P (previous)
- Go back 5 seconds: Left arrow
- Go back 10 seconds: J
- Go forward 5 seconds: Right arrow
- Go forward 10 seconds: L
- Go to Full-Screen mode: F

You can press the F key on your keyboard to make a video fullscreen, you can exit full screen by pressing the F key again.
How can I change the volume of a video?
You can increase the volume by pressing the up arrow on your keyboard and decrease the audio volume by pressing the down arrow key.
Tip: You can press the letter M to mute audio.
